"This is an invasion, not limited work of SRGs": Russian propagandists in shock after Kursk region attack. Video

Fighting in the Kursk region

Russia has been feeling quite distressed over AFU's operation in the Kursk region, where, according to Moscow, Ukrainian troops have been allegedly fighting since August 6. In particular, propaganda shows have been spreading statements that these events are an "invasion" rather than a "limited work of SRGs" because the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly used significant forces and resources in these battles.

This was stated by Russian State Duma deputy, Lieutenant General Andrey Gurulyov, during one of them. He also emphasized that "one of the districts of the Kursk region is currently occupied".

"This is an invasion, an offensive! This is definitely not a single sabotage group, the forces and means are quite serious! It would be an exaggeration to say that some subversive groups have entered and we will quickly drive them out. We need to look at the situation soberly," Gurulyov said.

The Russian general said that the active advance of Ukrainian troops in the region has allegedly been stopped, but continuous fighting continues.

"They are pulling quite serious reinforcements from their territory. There is continuous fighting, the dynamics is high around the clock. We have to admit that the enemy has attracted quite serious forces and means," he said.

As reported, on the night of August 10, a "counter-terrorism operation regime" was introduced in Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions. It began to operate at midnight and is associated with the fighting in the Kursk region.

At the same time, the authorities of the occupying country continue to claim that "nothing critical is happening." Still, more than 76,000 residents have been evacuated from the border areas of Kursk region so far.

As a reminder, experts estimate that the military operation in the Kursk region has dramatically changed the Russian-Ukrainian war. It puts Putin in a difficult position and can end the war faster.
