"This is a good sign": Oleksii Reznikov said occupiers have gone on to defense and pointed to the situation in Crimea

Oleksii Reznikov said occupiers have gone on to defense

Ukraine's Minister of Defence, Oleksii Reznikov, said that Russian occupation forces have already went on the defense. According to the Defense Minister, the fact that the Russians are building fortifications and digging trenches is a good sign, as even the enemy believes in a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army.

Moreover, Reznikov emphasized that Putin's troops have started actively building strongholds in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Defense Minister stated this during a briefing.

Reznikov emphasized that the successful counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kherson and Kharkiv regions forced the Russians to draw certain conclusions. Therefore, the enemy has already gone on the defensive in some parts of the front. At the same time, the command of the Ukrainian troops stated that the invaders were building fortifications even in Crimea.

"Russians are very good at training, so they are already on the defensive. They are already on the defensive. Our generals, Mr. Moskalev and Mr. Neizhpapa, showed us the places where they [the occupiers - Ed.] are already sitting, digging trenches and fortifications. By the way, in Crimea too. It means that the Russians are already preparing to defend themselves. They believe, and Russians believe that Ukrainians will launch a counteroffensive. And this is a good sign," Reznikov said.

The Defense Minister added that active digging of trenches by the occupiers might indicate that Russia had already lost this war. Reznikov also added that Ukraine's international allies want our country to win this war.

"We are already creating the future. They have already lost. If they have gone on the defense in their 'special military operation,' they have already lost this war. That's why I am sure that the support of our partners, as I call "the Ramstein Club", 54 countries at least, also want Ukraine to win. The investment has already taken place. The main rule is that if you have made an investment, you must believe in success and continue to support it," Reznikov said.

Recall that in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Yalta in Crimea, the invaders started to build defenses on the coast. Under the guise of "reconstruction" of the waterfront, they are building a system of trenches stretching for hundreds of kilometers.

Earlier, it was reported that the guerrilla movement has intensified in the Russian-occupied Crimea, despite considerable pressure and repression. The activists once again reminded Putin's military and their henchmen that Crimea is Ukraine.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, retired American Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, former commander of the U.S. Army Europe, showed a possible plan for a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the temporarily occupied Crimea. He emphasized that Ukraine needs long-range weapons to liberate the peninsula.
