They paused the attacks: Air Force explained how the shooting down of three Russian Su-34 jets affected the situation in southern Ukraine

The destruction of three Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers by the Ukrainian Defense Forces had a significant impact on the situation in the southern sector. The invaders are trying to find out how the Ukrainian military managed to hit their aircraft, so they have paused using guided aerial bombs (GAB).

This was reported by Natalia Humeniuk, a spokeswoman for the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, on the air of the United News TV marathon on Saturday, December 23. According to her, the loss of the three bombers had a significant impact on enemy activity in the air.

"We are observing a lull in the use of guided bombs. Before that, there was a period when the weather did not allow the enemy to use this method of air pressure. Then, using the smallest weather "window", the enemy tried to make up for lost time and shelled with GABs very densely, but now they are thinking. They are studying what it was and how dangerous it is from now on. So far, we have not recorded any bombings," Humeniuk said.

She noted that before this forced break, the occupiers had been dropping GABs on the coastal areas near the Dnipro River, both on the right and left banks.
