Iran remains the main ally of the aggressor country

The Russian Federation is beginning to experience a shortage of ammunition and weapons, so it is looking for allies among the countries of the Middle East and Africa. In order to negotiate military assistance, Moscow is sending special delegations.

The representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi, reported on it on the "United News" telethon. "We know for sure that they are actively working with Iran. Yes, there are indeed negotiations with Myanmar, with the countries of the African continent, the Middle East," he said.

According to Skibitskyi, the occupiers have sent relevant delegations "to get as much ammunition and other weapons for themselves as possible."

Meanwhile, Iran remains the main ally of the aggressor country, supplying munitions and drones to Russia. Tehran has not yet given its consent to supply ballistic missiles. In exchange, it is waiting for the latest weapons, nuclear power technologies and missile programs from Moscow.

As for Syria, a spokesman for the Main Directorate of Intelligence noted that Bashar al-Assad's regime is now dependent on Russia because it has a Russian contingent on its territory.

"What can Syria give in return? There was a lot of information that it could be Syrian mercenaries in large numbers. As of today, we do not notice the presence of thousands of Syrians in the temporarily occupied areas of our state," Vadym Skibitskyi said.

He added that Moscow is taking back the weapons that it had previously provided to Syria.

As OBOZREVATEL reported:

- According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, Iran is supplying Russia with "Shahed" drones, but has been slow with the missiles because it fears the consequences.

- In cooperation with Russia, Iran plans to launch two satellites into space in December 2023.

- On March 12, Iran announced a contract with Russia to supply Su-35 fighter jets.
