"They are trying to get in with sabotage groups": Ukrainian commander on the fighting for Avdiivka
Russian invaders are changing their tactics in the Avdiivka sector. Previously, the occupiers tried to throw "meat" at the positions of Ukrainian soldiers.
Now the Russians have switched to using small subversive groups. This was stated by the commander of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade Dmytro Ryumshyn during a telethon.
He emphasized that Russians have not been conducting "meat assaults" in the Avdiivka area lately. They have switched to using small groups.

"They are no longer trying to throw 'meat waves' because they no longer have these 'meat waves'. They periodically try to test our defense in small groups, and before that, they try to work with air power, thinking that our soldiers will run away, but they stand firmly in their positions. The occupiers are trying to get in with sabotage groups, with these units - Storm-Z, Storm-V, with prisoners. But they suffer losses," said Ryumshyn.
He also expressed hope that the new tactics will not bring success to the invaders.
"Maybe some time will pass and we will be able to show footage of them running in the other direction, not toward us, but away from us," the brigadier summarized.
Earlier, the head of Avdiivka city military administration Vitaliy Barabash noted that despite the fact that the occupants entered the outskirts of the city, Avdiivka did not fall. He stated that Ukrainian defenders are bravely holding the line in heavy fighting.
