"They are the backbone of our army." Naiev praises officers who have served in ATO and JFO
The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naiev, honoured the officers who served in the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the Joint Forces Operation. He stressed that these defenders are the backbone of the Ukrainian army.
This was reported by the Operational Armed Forces of Ukraine Telegram channel. Naiev noted that the officers who had served in the ATO and JFO gained invaluable experience there, and now continue to defend our country from the Russian occupiers.
"Today, it is impossible to overestimate the importance and significance of servicemen who gained combat experience during the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the Joint Forces Operation and who continue to defend our homeland today," he said.
According to him, they are the backbone of our army. It is thanks to them that in the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we managed to control the situation, make the right decisions and withstand challenges.
"Most of these officers were in the operational reserve and therefore knew the algorithm of their actions in case of war. It was thanks to these experienced officers that we managed to deploy troops to the enemy's offensive areas in a timely and efficient manner, slow down the pace of their advance and organise a sustainable defence," Naiev concluded.
As a reminder, Ukrainian hackers launched an address by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Naiev in occupied Crimea. It happened on the National Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Naiev said that the modernisation of the Air Force's aircraft fleet would shorten the path of Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia. The lieutenant general stressed that the air component is an important aspect of strengthening the power of our army.
