The Russian occupation army does not plan to take a break in the war in Ukraine, but rather will likely actively advance on the front line during the summer. The enemy is likely to conduct the most active actions in eastern Ukraine.

This was stated by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, in a commentary to OBOZ.UA. According to him, the occupation forces may also conduct diversionary actions in the south of Ukraine.

"If there is no pause, and there will be no pause, the priority directions for the enemy are the Chasiv Yar direction, the Kramatorsk direction, I would even call it the Kramatorsk-Sloviansk direction, and the Pokrovsk direction. These are the main directions the enemy is planning to take. There may be distractions in the south," he said.

At the same time, the enemy is actively launching a significant number of information provocations about the possibility of an offensive from the north, but this possibility is not currently visible.

The head of the Center noted that mobilization in Russia has intensified and conscription has begun - the aggressor state is recruiting resources for the May-summer offensive mainly in eastern Ukraine.

"The figure of 150 thousand conscripts was mentioned. At the same time, we have information that most often conscripts are offered contracts with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and a significant number of conscripts sign them. This is how they want to gain more resources," Kovalenko said.

He added that the Russian army grouping to capture the small-sized Avdiivka numbered about 100 thousand occupants, so there is no need to exaggerate the enemy's capabilities.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, military expert Mykhailo Zhyrokhov said that Ukrainian defenders have received ammunition and are already stopping the strategic offensive of the Russian occupation army. However, the slow, tactical advance of the enemy forces continues, and the occupier has caught on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar.
