The gauleiter of the occupied part of Kherson, Vladimir Saldo, confirmed the damage to the bridge to the Arabat Spit and the hitting of the gas pipeline. However, assured that the damage is "small" and traditionally "shot down" almost all missiles.

"Today armed formations of the criminal Kyiv regime shelled the bridge across the Genichesk Strait, connecting the city of Genichesk with the Arabatskaya strelka. In total, Kyiv terrorists fired 12 missiles, 9 were shot down by our air defense. One civilian who was passing over the bridge at the time of the arrival was wounded. Also the gas pipeline from Strelkovskoye field to Genichesk, which was passing near the bridge, was broken. More than 20 thousand residents of the city were left without gas supply ... Information about the damage to the bridge and gas pipeline is being clarified. According to preliminary data, they are small and will be eliminated quickly", - issued Saldo.

He also said that the damaged bridge has "no important military significance" for the occupants, who will sooner or later be forced to flee the Ukrainian Kherson region.
