"There are successes": AFU officer on the advancement on the southern flank near Bakhmut
Ukrainian defense forces are making progress in the Bakhmut direction (Donetsk region). Our defenders have advanced on the southern flank of the city.
This was stated by Oleh Kalashnikov, the press officer of the 26th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Corporal General Roman Dashkevich. He spoke about this on the air of the "United News" TV marathon on the morning of November 5.
Kalashnikov noted that Ukrainian soldiers are quite successfully repelling enemy counterattacks.
"We have some advances on our southern flank, where the railroad is," the brigade representative said.
He added that there are many forest plantations where the Russian invaders have dug in and are holding the line. The enemy is being driven out of some of them.
Kalashnikov said that the advance of our troops is gradual. These are difficult operations because there are mined areas and the enemy is actively using drones for reconnaissance.
