The war is raging "in the heart of Europe": French Prime Minister does not rule out sending troops to Ukraine

French Prime Minister does not rule out sending troops to Ukraine

French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal does not rule out that his country may send troops to Ukraine in the future. The head of the French government emphasized that the terrorist country of Russia should not be allowed to win the war against Ukraine.

Attal warned that in case of Ukraine's defeat, Russia could attack other European countries. He said this on the air of RTL radio.

According to him, the Russian-Ukrainian war is raging "in the heart of Europe". Therefore, many countries on the continent are under threat.

The French prime minister noted that in this case, sending troops to Ukraine cannot be ruled out.

"We cannot rule out anything in a war that is taking place in the heart of Europe, including sending ground troops, as Emmanuel Macron said earlier," the French prime minister said.

At the same time, he added that Russia should not be allowed to win over Ukraine. Attal also noted that the aggressor country could start a military confrontation against other countries in the future.

"We cannot accept that Russia will win this war and that an authoritarian country can take control of a democratic country by force. We stand with Ukraine. We have been supporting Ukraine since day one. We will continue to support Ukrainians," the Prime Minister added.

As a reminder, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Russia could attack NATO countries in a few years. That is why European countries cannot allow Russia to win an aggressive war against Ukraine as Europe's security is at stake.

Earlier, it was reported that at a conference in Paris, convened by French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss assistance to Ukraine, the participants discussed the possibility of sending Western ground forces to the territory of our country. However, no joint decision was made.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reminded that the European Union had promised to provide Ukraine with 1 million artillery shells. However, in fact, the Ukrainian army received only 30% of the promised number of shells from the EU countries.
