On January 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the location of the Russian occupation army in the village of Ivanovskoye, Kursk region. As a result of the attack, the occupiers from the 810th Brigade of the Russian Federation suffered significant losses.
This was stated in Telegram by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council Andrii Kovalenko and Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazanskyi. Subsequently, the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had launched a missile strike against the Russian military.
"There is a successful strike. Significant losses in the 810th Brigade of the Russian Federation as a result," wrote the head of the Center for Public Affairs Andrii Kovalenko.
The Russian acting governor claims that "only civilian objects were damaged and there were no casualties."
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on the village of Ivanovskoye, Kursk region, while none of the residents went to medical facilities, the acting governor said. Only civilian objects were damaged," Russian media reported.
Subsequently, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the command post of the Russian occupation army in the village of Maryino in the Kursk region.
"All necessary measures were taken to minimize threats to the lives of local civilians. These fire strikes are primarily aimed at weakening the ability and willingness of the Russian Federation to commit terrorist acts against the Ukrainian civilian population," the statement said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on December 31, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the city of Yartsevo in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation after a night attack by drones. The regional authorities confirmed the incident but claimed that it was caused by the wreckage of a downed UAV.
