Eyewitnesses of the destruction of the Crimean bridge said that they heard two explosions around three o'clock in the morning. The first explosion was heard at 3:04, and the second one went off at 3:20.

One of the witnesses of the incident claims that the Crimean bridge was damaged, but not completely destroyed. Also witnesses of the explosions started blaming the Ukrainian military for what happened.

"The bridge was damaged, but not destroyed. The jackhammer was twisted, the slab of the bridge moved down," witnesses said.

Other eyewitnesses say that after the second explosion, lights went out on half of the bridge and emergency services headed to the scene. In addition, residents of the streets neighboring the Crimean bridge also heard the explosion.
