The situation around the semi-surrounded Avdiivka is quite critical. The Russian invaders are putting pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the air, attacking from both sides with assaults. However, Ukrainian defenders are bravely holding the line and counterattacking.
This was stated by a soldier from the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Volkov. According to him, Avdiivka is currently "a fortress of the Donetsk region".
"Now they are using infantry groups' tactics to advance as much as possible. It is difficult to hunt them (with drones). But, nevertheless, the Russians are losing a large number of personnel. Unfortunately, they are clinging to some houses somewhere," the military said.
According to Volkov, the invaders are now using the tactics of "exclusively small infantry groups." "They are constantly playing around in different ways, trying to surround or squeeze our troops from three sides but they fail. The situation is quite critical but we are holding the line," the defender added.

Earlier ,it was reported that Russian troops were advancing in the area of the Tsarska Okhota restaurant. "Today they are not there, they were knocked out," Volkov said.
The serviceman believes that the enemy was preparing to capture the city "very powerfully". "The enemy is working from the air, underground and with infantry. They spare neither manpower nor equipment, they throw absolutely everything to fulfill the task of their maniac and capture our Avdiivka," he explained.
