Recently, the situation on the eastern front has become more tense . The hottest areas are Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

However, the situation remains under control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia military unit, during a telethon.

The enemy army continues to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders using various types of weapons, including artillery, tanks and unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the lieutenant colonel, the aggressor is also using aviation to launch strikes with guided aerial bombs. This indicates that the enemy is trying to achieve its goal.

"They (the occupants - Ed.) have only one goal - to reach the borders of Donetsk region," said the spokesman.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian military continues to eliminate the manpower and equipment of the Russian occupation forces. Recently, the network showed how the defenders used a Stugna ATGM missile to "strike" the occupiers' infantry.

Earlier, Ukraine's defenders showed a new spectacular video of strikes against the enemy on the eastern front line. The soldiers struck at the military equipment of the Russian occupation army, which tried to storm the positions.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on April 16, the Ukrainian military struck at the command post of the 331st Kostroma Parachute Regiment of the 98th Airborne Division of the Russian Army in the city of Bakhmut. As a result of this strike, 8 Russian officers were killed.
