"The situation has not changed": the Main Directorate of Intelligence assessed the threat of explosion at ZNPP

Occupants continue to mine ZNPP

Russian occupants have mined the facilities on the territory of ZNPP. It is still impossible to say with certainty that the Russians will decide to carry out a terrorist attack.

However, as long as the largest nuclear power plant is controlled by the invaders, such a threat remains. This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Andrei Yusov, in a telethon.

According to him, the threat of a terrorist attack at the ZNPP, as well as at the plant "Crimean titanium" in the temporarily occupied Crimea has not disappeared anywhere. It will persist as long as these facilities are occupied by Russia.

"Unfortunately, these important objects - "Crimean Titan" and Zaporizhzhya station - are under occupation. Work has been carried out to mine the facilities on the territory of ZNPP and the Titan plant. The situation has not yet changed and no demining has taken place there. The policy of blackmail continues. We are not going to say that a terrorist attack is a solved scenario today. But this threat exists as long as Russian occupants are at this and other important facilities," Yusov emphasized.

We will remind, on July 8, the Ukrainian military intelligence stated that the occupants continue to mine ZNPP and objects on the territory of the plant. Delivery of mines and explosives to ZNPP was recorded.

In particular, mine-explosive barriers made of guided and unguided anti-personnel mines of directional type are fixed in technical rooms and machine halls of the station.

It was also reported that the invaders use the station to store ammunition. According to the Zaporizhzhya regional military administration, about 500 Russians - military and Rosatom employees - are now at the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
