The Russian Volunteer Corps called on Wagner mercenaries to go over to the side of Ukraine and take revenge for Prigozhin's 'execution'

If the Wagner mercenaries voluntarily defect to the side of Ukraine, the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine will guarantee their safety

The Russian Volunteer Corps has issued a new statement against the backdrop of the death of the leader of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin. The fighters called on the Wagnerites to go over to the side of Ukraine and thus avenge his "execution".

The Russian Volunteer Corps published a video message on its Telegram channel. The fighters noted that they were addressing the mercenaries of the Wagner PMC, for whom "the words loyalty and honour have meaning and significance" (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

"Apparently, your commanders and founding father were cynically executed yesterday. It is obvious to everyone that they were killed on the orders of representatives of the highest echelons of the Russian government. Therefore, now you have a difficult but quite logical choice: either to join the stables of the Russian Ministry of Defence in the service of the killers of your commanders, or to preserve your honour and take revenge on their executioners by going over to the side of Ukraine," the RVC said.

They added that they were calling for those Wagner mercenaries who had not committed war crimes on the territory of Ukraine to join their ranks.

"We offer you to join our ranks and first complete this bloody meat grinder of the so-called 'SVO', and then march on Moscow again, but this time not to stop 200km from the Moscow Ring Road, but to go all the way!" - said the RVC fighters.

They stressed that if the Wagnerites voluntarily defect to the side of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence will guarantee them safety and decent conditions.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, ISW believes that Putin almost certainly ordered the military command, represented by the Ministry of Defence, to shoot down the plane belonging to Yevgeny Prigozhin's Wagner PMC. The plane crashed in the Tver region of Russia on 23 August, and Russian media have already confirmed that the leader and deputy of the private military company were killed in the crash.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has officially confirmed the death of the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin. The Kremlin leader called him a talented businessman and a man of "difficult fate".
