The occupants are trying to reinforce the Zaporizhzhya direction, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their counteroffensive actions. In particular, enemy personnel and military equipment are being moved there from the Kherson region via Melitopol.
This was reported by Melitopol city head Ivan Fedorov on the air of the news marathonof Channel 24 on Sunday, June 18. He noted that the movement of the enemy was recorded by Melitopol residents (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).
Fedorov called the temporarily occupied settlement an important administrative, military, and logistical center for the invaders in south of Ukraine.
"Our residents see the redeployment of Russian military from the Kherson region, from the Dnieper coast. And this week we reported that several columns of equipment that were leaving Nova Kakhovka, Kakhovka and tried to redeploy to the Zaporizhzhia direction, something happened to them - they were completely damaged and burned, "- said the official.
We should add that one of these columns met with the "bavovna" at the intersection of Vasylivka and Melitopol districts.
