The occupiers launched 12 missiles at Zaporizhzhia: Dnipro dam and residential houses hit, there are victims

During a massive attack on Ukraine on the morning of March 22, the aggressor country Russia launched 12 missiles at Zaporizhzhia. The Dnipro dam and civilian infrastructure were hit, and there were casualties.

Fires broke out at the sites of the hits. This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov.

"Infrastructure facilities were hit, and civilian houses were damaged," he said.

According to local media, the missile strikes partially cut off water supply in the Kosmichnyi and Baburka neighborhoods.

At 06:13, City Council Secretary Anatolii Kurtev said that the occupiers have been attacking Zaporizhzhia with missiles for more than an hour. According to preliminary data, two houses in the private sector have been destroyed, and seven more have been damaged.

"Unfortunately, there are victims. Information on the severity of the injuries is being clarified. Russians are inhumans who must be held accountable for all war crimes," he wrote.

Subsequently, the head of the RMA said that the occupiers launched 12 missiles at Zaporizhzhia, destroying seven houses and damaging 35 more. The number of casualties is being clarified.

One of the Russian missiles hit a trolleybus moving along the Dnipro hydroelectric dam, with people on board.

Ukrhydroenergo confirmed that the largest hydroelectric power plant in Ukraine was hit. In particular, the occupiers hit the hydraulic structures of the station in Zaporizhzhia and the dam. Due to the shelling, traffic on the dam's road crossing is completely blocked . However, the company emphasized that there is no threat of water leakage and that the situation at Dnipro HPP is under control.

As a reminder, Russia has launched a massive attack on Ukraine for the second day in a row, this time using not only missiles of various types but also kamikaze drones. In the morning of March 22, explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, Sumy, and Khmelnytskyi region. In addition to Zaporizhzhia, the enemy fired ballistic missiles at Kharkiv.

As reported, on February 29, Russian occupation forces attacked the frontline village of Yulivka, Zaporizhzhia region with guided bombs. One person was killed.
