Russian occupation forces launched missiles and drones into southern Ukraine on Monday night, June 19. Explosions were heard in Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, from the work of the air defense system, which shot down all enemy targets.

We are talking about Kalibr cruise missiles and strike drones. In the official Telegram channel of the Air Force of the AFU warned that the first aggressor launched from the Black Sea.

Overnight, the threat of a Russian missile strike was relevant to the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions. At the same time, the movement of a UAV of an unspecified type (probably Shahed) was recorded in Dnipropetrovsk region at that time.

Around 02:00, the military said that a missile was flying in the direction of Odessa from the sea. Local channels wrote about the sounds of explosions in the region, and the Odessa regional military administration noted that air defense forces were operating in the south.

"The terrorist country is attacking the south of Ukraine. Our defense forces are working. Stay in shelters until the air-raid alert is lifted and by no means take down the air defense work!" - the message said.

The air force also later stressed that the explosions over Odessa were the work of the air defense.

In the morning, Serhiy Bratchuk, head of the Public Council under the Odessa Regional Military Administration, said that during a night-time Russian missile attack from the Black Sea, air defense forces shot down four Kalibrs that were flying into the Odessa region.

For his part, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that the sky defenders repulsed the attack of enemy drones on the region. In particular, soldiers from the air command "East" destroyed four UAVs over Dnipropetrovsk region.

"Probably Shahed-136s and Orlan-10s. No other attacks on the region were recorded. Everywhere passed without shelling," he noted.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the occupation troops of Russia on the night of June 15 tried to attack with kamikaze drones Shahed-136/131 in the Odessa region. However, the defenders of the Ukrainian sky worked perfectly, disarming all 13 Shaked-136/131 drones launched by the enemy.
