Russian war criminals opened fire on the city of Kherson on Thursday afternoon, June 8. This happened at a time when civilians in the region were being evacuated from flooded settlements after the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

It should be noted that the enemy launched another shelling of the city after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited there. The flooded area, through which the evacuation was taking place, was also hit. This is evidenced by the photos published online.

Olexander Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, reported on Telegram around 2 p.m. that the enemy shelled coastal areas and the central part of the city.

Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian presidential office, reacted to the attack by calling the Russian Armed Forces servicemen"common terrorists".
