The occupants feel a significant "shell hunger": Gumenyuk told about the situation on the left bank of the Kherson region
Russian occupation troops should not from where to pull up resources on the left bank of the Kherson region. In this regard, the invaders are experiencing a significant "shell hunger".
This statement was made by the head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine Natalia Humenyuk. She told about it on air of TV channel "Espresso".
According to her, the Armed forces of Ukraine keep under fire control all logistical routes of the enemy.
"The Russians are experiencing a significant "shell hunger" on the left bank. There is no longer any place for the enemy to pull up resources from. Fire control over logistical routes is also a significant obstacle to quickly pull up lost ammunition for themselves," Humenyuk said.
She added that last week the work of Ukrainian defenders on the enemy's combat supply points was quite effective. As a result, five ammunition depots were destroyed. Now the enemy has also started to use large-caliber artillery less.
"Because of this, the enemy is really now experiencing a shortage of shells. We see that the occupiers have started to use large-caliber artillery less frequently. They are now trying to cover it with mortar fire and MLRS. Last night we destroyed another large-caliber enemy cannon and two sabotage boats with groups that were trying to maneuver between the islands," summarized Humenyuk.
It should be noted that Ukrainian defenders are preparing for offensive actions in the Kherson direction. Currently, the Defense Forces are conducting reconnaissance and working out the rear of the Russian occupation troops.
We will remind, earlier the former commander of the US forces in Europe Ben Godges explained why the counter-offensive of the AFU is slow. The American general emphasized that the Ukrainian military is succeeding despite the fact that they go on the attack without superiority in the sky.
In addition, the occupiers were replacing the fields, through which it is now difficult for the defenders to pass.
General Oleksandr Tarnavskiy, commander of the Operational Strategic Grouping of Troops "Tavria", also stated about minefields as one of the main problems facing the Ukrainian troops .
