The execution was carried out by Wagner mercenaries: CNN found another video of beheading of Ukrainian soldiers

The occupants released a new video of the execution of a Ukrainian soldier online

Wagner PMC mercenaries were behind the brutal beheadings of Ukrainian soldiers. A video with the bodies of soldiers with their heads and hands cut off, as well as a gruesome footage of the occupiers cutting the head off a live POW, have appeared on the Internet.

These are far from being isolated cases, it is not the first time that the "Wagnerians" beheaded Ukrainian servicemen and boasted of war crimes online. This was reported by CNN.

The weekly recalled that two videos of beheadings of Ukrainian soldiers were published on social networks last week. Moreover, the events recorded in the released footage are not connected. In fact, one of them was probably filmed recently, and the second, given the amount of greenery, was filmed last year, possibly in the summer.

"The first video was posted on a pro-Russian social network on April 8. It was allegedly filmed by Russian mercenaries from the Wagner group and apparently shows the decapitated corpses of two Ukrainian soldiers lying on the ground next to a destroyed military vehicle," CNN wrote.

Behind the scenes, an altered voice in Russian declares that "[the armored car] has been blown up on a mine.

Of the bodies lying on the ground, the mercenary laughingly declares: "They killed them. Someone came up to them. They came up to them and cut off their heads.

The dead soldiers' hands were also cut off.

The publication notes that the comments to the gruesome video specify that it was allegedly filmed in the area of Bakhmut, where fierce fighting has been taking place for many months and where the Wagnerites are actively involved. However, CNN was unable to confirm the location where the gruesome footage was shot.

"The second video, which was posted on Twitter and is heavily blurred, appears to have been shot in the summer, judging by the large number of plants on the ground. It shows a Russian fighter cutting off the head of a Ukrainian soldier with a knife. The voice at the beginning of the video indicates that the victim was still alive when the brutal attack began," the publication wrote.

CNN quoted a tweet by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, which appeared shortly after the publication of the video, where he assured: "There will be an answer and responsibility for everything".

At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities called the gruesome footage "another execution video published by the Russians.

At the same time, the Institute for the Study of War stated on April 10 that the mercenaries of the Wagner PMC "reportedly continue to commit war crimes by beheading Ukrainian soldiers in Bakhmut". The basis for such a statement was a photo published in Russian social networks. It shows the head of a person placed on a stake. It was also claimed that the head belonged to a Ukrainian soldier.

The Institute for the Study of War also stated that it has information about similar cases in the city of Popasna, Luhansk Oblast, where the Wagnerites also operated at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

It is noteworthy that the Russian Federation has already begun to accuse the Ukrainians of brutal executions.

"Some pro-Russian social media accounts have suggested that Ukrainian forces were responsible for the beheadings to conceal identification. This echoes a similar claim made by Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin in January after his fighters apparently found bodies with severed arms and heads near Bakhmut," CNN wrote.

The day before, it became known that the occupiers had released a gruesome video of the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war: the head of the serviceman was cut off. He was still alive at the time of the brutal execution.

Many bloggers and Ukrainian soldiers called for this video to be distributed with a caption in English, so that the whole world would know about yet another terrible war crime of the occupiers.

On March 6, Ukraine was stirred up by a video of the killing of an unarmed Ukrainian soldier by the occupiers. The Russians shot the soldier after he uttered the words "Glory to Ukraine!

Later, the name of the indomitable warrior became known. It turned out to be Oleksandr Matsievsky, a native of Chernihiv region.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded him the title of Hero posthumously.
