On February 17, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a precision strike on the positions of Russian troops in Zaporizhzhia, causing significant damage to the occupiers. The operation destroyed the location of the personnel of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as several important military facilities.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "On February 17, 2025, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a precision strike on the positions of the 2nd motorized rifle battalion of the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces near the village of Chumatske, Zaporizhzhia region," the statement said.
The strike targeted fortifications used by the enemy for shelter, as well as a drone launch site that was actively used to attack Ukrainian units.
The successful strike was part of a systemic strategy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine aimed at gradually destroying the combat potential of Russian troops.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to consistently strike at critical facilities of the occupation forces, depriving them of the opportunity to carry out military aggression on the territory of Ukraine," the General Staff added.

As a reminder, the soldiers of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Marko Bezruchko continue to deter the aggression of Russian troops. In the Novopavlivsk sector, the enemy recently had a "negative offensive," resulting in significant losses for the Russian occupiers.
Earlier, the Land Forces showed how Ukrainian soldiers stopped the enemy's "meat" attack in the area of Velyka Novosilka. The invaders attacked in several waves, relying on poor visibility due to snowfall. Both armored vehicles and large groups of infantry were thrown into the battle. However, each attempt ended in defeat for the occupiers and a shameful flight from the battlefield.
