"The enemy is turning the city into ruins": Syrsky told about the course of the battle for Bakhmut and noted the heroism of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Russian troops are conducting offensives in several directions simultaneously, but in most of them their actions are unsuccessful. The occupiers are mainly focused on taking Bakhmut at any cost - they are losing manpower in the battles for the city, but at the same time continue to turn it into ruins.
Despite the enemy's high activity, Ukraine's defenders manage to restrain its advance and inflict significant losses. This was stated by the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky.
According to him, there were attempts by the Russian Armed Forces to conduct offensive actions in the Kupyansk sector. However, thanks to the accurate fire of our artillery, the enemy units fled before they even reached the point of attack.
The occupiers' actions in the Liman sector were also unsuccessful. All their attempts to conduct offensive actions, says Syrsky, failed due to the resilience of our positions and the courage of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers.

"Nevertheless, the Bakhmut sector remains the epicenter of combat actions. The enemy is concentrating its greatest efforts there and does not give up the goal of taking control of the city at any cost," emphasized the colonel general.
He noted that the occupants are increasing the activity of heavy artillery and the number of air strikes, turning the city into ruins.
At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are inflicting significant losses on the invaders and significantly slowing down their offensive.
"The battle for Bakhmut continues. The situation is now under control," assured Syrsky.
