The situation in the Kharkiv sector is complicated, with the occupiers continuing their assaults and intense shelling. As of the morning of May 13, the enemy tried to advance to the settlements of Lyptsi, Starytsi, and Vovchansk.

Dmytro Lykhoviy, a spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and an unnamed source in military circles told Yedynye Novyny about the operational situation. "The occupants are covering the positions of our defenders with mortar, artillery, and aircraft fire.

A day earlier, on May 12, the Russian Armed Forces continued active operations in the areas of Hlyboke, Lukianske, Oliynykove, Bugrivatka, and Vovchansk.

Ukraine's defense forces are resisting the invaders. The source said that as of Monday morning, Russian troops were replenishing losses and ammunition and preparing for further actions.

Representative of the General Staff Lykhoviy noted on the air of the telethon: in the Kharkiv direction, where the enemy crossed the border on May 10, by Sunday evening the enemy had launched 31 attacks in the directions of the settlements of Strilecha, Krasne, Morokhovets, Oliynykove, Lukianets, Hlyboke, Ohirtseve, Gatyshche, Pletenivka, Pylyna, Vovchansk and Bugrivatka.

The occupants are making tactical gains. The situation remains complicated and is changing dynamically.

"Measures are planned to destroy the enemy that has intervened in our defense," added Lykhoviy.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Russian invaders had a tactical success in the Vovchansk sector, the enemy had deployed significant forces and did not care about losses.
