"The enemy does not believe in God": photographer showed apocalyptic images of the destroyed center of Odessa

Odessa residents at the site of the cathedral on Preobrazhenskaya Street.

Sunday, July 23, a forced "subbotnik" was held in Odessa, caused by Russia's overnight attack on the city. The invaders, who only pay lip service to fortresses and spiritual values, but in reality are ordinary terrorists and looters, destroyed a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site on Sobornaya Square - the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior.

Images from the site of another arrival were shown online by photographer Jan Dobronosov. He characterized his eloquent photos succinctly, noting that our enemy has no shrines before which they will stop.

"Our enemy does not believe in God," the author of the publication signed.

It should be noted that the Russian missile landed right on the place where the altar for worship services was located. Here were held meetings of Orthodox believers under the patronage of the Odessa Eparchy of the Moscow Patriarchate. The Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior was consecrated by Patriarch Kirill of All Russia in 2010.

Earlier OBOZREVATEL reported that the Odessa diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate called the missile strike on the Transfiguration Cathedral a terrorist act. The clergy emphasized that the shrine has nothing to do with military facilities.
