The Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration showed the moment a Russian missile was shot down. The enemy target landed on the border of Lviv and Transcarpathia regions.

A video of the work of the soldiers of the Transcarpathian 650th separate anti-aircraft machine gun battalion was posted on Telegram by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration, Viktor Mykyta. He noted that the missile was headed for their region.

"Thank you, brothers, for your professionalism and saved lives!" the official wrote.

At the same time, the former spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yurii Ihnat, clarified the video from the anti-aircraft gunners on Facebook. He "corrected" the Transcarpathian Regional Military Command that the missile was not fired from a machine gun – it was caught up by an air defense missile. The military simply reacted to a successful hit.

"It was the air defense system that shot down the missile, not the machine gun, as the shooter himself says at the end of the video! But who cares..." Ihnat wrote.

On August 26, the defenders of the sky destroyed about a dozen Russian Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones on the outskirts of Kyiv. The attack was without consequences for the capital.

Russian war criminals launched the attack drones from the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. They flew over Sumy and Chernihiv regions and approached Kyiv from the eastern and northeastern directions.

– On August 26, Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine, using kamikaze drones and various types of missiles. At night, explosions of "Shahed" were heard, in the morning they were heard in many cities through cruise missiles and ballistics: damage, casualties, and emergency power outages were reported.

– The network showed how Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Shahed with a machine gun from a helicopter. The footage shows that the machine gunner took aim at the UAV and opened fire when the helicopter caught up with the Shahed. A few rounds later, the deadly drone plummets down.
