Russia's losses in the war – DIU shows how enemy howitzers are incinerated near Pokrovsk – video

In the Pokrovsk sector, a unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine used a heavy Nemesis drone to destroy enemy howitzers. As a result of the operation, 12 Russian guns were burned, and seven more were damaged.

The positions of the Russian invaders also came under "hot fire" from our scouts. Their shelters and places of residence were destroyed, the DIU press service reported.

"Once, in the Pokrovsk sector, soldiers of the Unmanned Systems Directorate of the Department of Active Operations of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine raised a heavy Nemesis drone into the sky and flew out for hunting – they destroyed 12 enemy guns and damaged seven more," the statement said.

What is known about the Nemesis heavy drone

The Ukrainian heavy drone Nemesis has become a real nightmare for the enemy at the front. This drone was developed by Ukrainian engineers from scratch in 2022 and quickly gained popularity due to its powerful characteristics and ability to fight over long distances.

The advantage of the Nemesis is its reliable communication via the Starlink satellite system, which allows it to be controlled even at a distance of thousands or ten thousand kilometers from the launch point. This allows operators, for example, from Kyiv, to control the drone and adjust its actions, transmitting the exact coordinates to perform combat missions. At the front, the military only needs to prepare ammunition and launch the drone.

The drone has impressive technical characteristics: its maximum range exceeds 20 km, and the distance between the four motors is more than a meter. These parameters ensure its stability in flight and efficiency during missions. The camera mounted on the drone allows it to record enemy positions, even in the dark, thanks to vertical surveillance.

Although the Russians call this drone "Baba Yaga," this term does not refer to a specific model, but to a whole series of Ukrainian bomber drones that have different characteristics and types of ammunition. Their main advantage is that they force Russian equipment to move away from the front lines, which helps to expand the buffer zone within which enemy tanks and other equipment do not linger.
