The number of victims of a Russian missile strike in Zaporizhzhia has increased. On the morning of December 11, the number of civilians killed by Russian terrorists was 8. However, as of 4 p.m., the death toll increased – one of the wounded Ukrainians died in hospital.
Another 21 people were injured as a result of the attack on the regional center. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Emergency rescue operations continue at the site of the attack. There are probably still people under the rubble. All emergency services of the city are working in Zaporizhzhia, and psychologists of the State Emergency Service are assisting citizens.
The National Police clarified that 12 women, 9 men, and a 5-year-old girl were injured as a result of the missile attack.
Law enforcement officers also noted that 5 people may be under the rubble. Police, rescuers, volunteers, and city services continue to work at the scene.
After 10:00, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration Ivan Fedorov said that the rescue operation after the enemy attack on the center of Zaporizhzhia had been going on for 19 hours. Rescuers have pulled another body from the rubble. Thus, the number of victims increased to 7 people. An hour later, rescuers recovered the body of the eighth victim.
As a reminder, Russian terrorists launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia on December 10. The attack killed 8 people, wounded 22, destroyed a private clinic and a cafe, and damaged neighboring buildings and cars.
Earlier it was reported that Russian occupants attacked Kharkiv region on the morning of December 10. The town of Zlatopil in the Lozova district came under a missile attack by enemy troops.
