Residents of Lviv told about the Russian missile strike

On the night of August 15, the Russian terrorist army launched a massive missile strike on Ukraine, during which Lviv was badly damaged. Dozens of civilian homes were damaged in the city.

Residents of one of the houses were saved by the fact that during the air alert they took refuge in the basement. This is stated in the story "Suspilne Lviv" (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).

As a result of rocket attacks in Lviv, 40 houses were damaged: windows and doors flew out. Four apartments in a six-storey building were completely burned down. A resident of the house told how he managed to survive the missile attack.

"Where the window is torn out, I was sitting there before the arrival. And just as I called the dog, I hear those from the basement shouting: run, because something is flying. I just ran down here, and it was flying all over the place. I thought it was in the house. I ran into the basement, the children screamed, I thought that something else was flying," said Lviv resident Andriy.

The damaged house is located near the kindergarten, on the territory of which the missile flew. The man said that the blast wave was so strong that a bench was thrown over the house, which was 15 meters high.

He also added that if the missile strike had occurred during the day, when there were children on the kindergarten's territory, the consequences of the missile strike would have been much more deplorable.

"You saw that through the house, which is 15 meters high, a bench flew in. Through the house, over the top it was brought. It doesn't even need a shard to fall here," the man says.
