The Air Force showed how they destroyed enemy targets in the sky over Odesa region
On the night of September 25, the aggressor country Russia attacked Odesa region. The invaders launched drones, Kalibr and Oniks missiles towards Odesa region.
The vast majority of these targets were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force. This was reported by the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk. He also published a video of the combat work of Ukrainian defenders.
"Last night the enemy attacked Odesa again. 30 out of 33 air targets were destroyed," he said in a statement.
Oleshchuk clarified that the footage shows the combat work of the units of the 160th anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Odesa Air Command "South", which ensured this result.
"Thank you, warriors! I also thank the fighter pilots and air defense of the Navy for their accuracy! Together - to victory!" summarized the commander of the Air Force.
It should be noted that during the night air raid on Monday, the first few explosions in Odesa were heard after 00:10. Later, the loud sounds were repeated. Then the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned that Shahed-type kamikaze strike drones were moving towards Odesa region. Later, they said that drones, Kalibr and Oniks missiles were flying toward the region.
According to the head of the press center of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalia Humeniuk, Russian troops launched 19 Shahed-136/131 drones, as well as 12 Kalibr cruise missiles and two Oniks supersonic missiles at Odesa region. The defenders of the sky shot down all the Shaheds and 11 Kalibrs, and the remaining targets were hit. As a result, two people were killed.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, during the air attack on September 23, Russian troops struck Odesa region with supersonic Oniks missiles. Two of these enemy targets hit a recreational area in an open area, with no casualties.
