Syrsky: the time will soon come when we will switch to active offensive actions

Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky visited the positions of the Ukrainian defenders in the Liman direction. The colonel general noted that our troops would soon switch to active offensive operations.

A video of the meeting was published in Syrsky's Telegram channel. According to the commander, Ukrainian defenders continue to steadfastly hold their lines and positions and repel all attempts by the occupiers to advance in the areas of Bilohorivka, Spirne, Novoselivske, Torske, causing them significant losses in manpower and equipment.

"I met with the commanders of units and subunits that perform tasks at the hottest points of the front. We discussed possible scenarios in this area and the current situation at the front. He noted that the time would soon come when we would switch to active offensive operations, and set specific tasks for preparing for them," Syrsky said.

The commander of the Ground Forces also awarded the soldiers of the 10th OGSBr, 54th ONBr, 81st OGSBr, 95th OGSBr, and 92nd ONBr at the front lines.

"From officer to soldier everyone honorably performs their duty to the Ukrainian people. We remember all those who died in combat. We stand, we fight, we will win!" - Syrsky is convinced.

Talking with unit commanders, he noted that the Wagner PMC in Bakhmut actually found itself "in a kind of a mousetrap:

"Now Prigozhin is trying to withdraw his units, get the army units, this process is delayed, he makes different statements. But our task is only one - to beat the enemy, to liberate the territory, to move forward to the borders. I'm proud of the fact that we serve together, that we carry out combat missions together.

- Syrsky showed the coordinated work of Ukrainian soldiers near Bakhmut. The defenders are moving forward in places, occupying enemy positions.

- According to the AFU General Staff, during the day the enemy did not attack in the Liman direction, but struck the areas of several settlements.

- On 27 May, the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that as a result of successful counterattack actions, Ukrainian troops advanced 350 to 450 meters near Bakhmut.
