Ukraine continues to demonstrate success in its efforts to reduce the ability of the Russian Black Sea Fleet to demonstrate power in the region. Lacking a fleet of its own, Kyiv has forced the Russian command to withdraw large warships from the temporarily occupied Crimea and continues to liquidate the remaining vessels.

UK intelligence has analyzed the strikes carried out by the Ukrainian Air Force on Sevastopol on March 24, one of the targets of which was the communications center of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This is stated in an intelligence review by the UK Ministry of Defense published on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

The analysis of satellite photos showed that one building structure was damaged, including a partial collapse of the roof, and two other buildings were damaged by an explosion.

The strikes also damaged enemy ships and military equipment.

"Two "Ropukha"-class amphibious assault ships, tanks, and one "Yuri Ivanov"-class reconnaissance ship were also damaged as a result of these strikes," the review says.

According to British intelligence, such strikes have forced more expensive Russian vessels that normally use Sevastopol's port infrastructure to relocate to alternative ports further east.

"Despite Russia's attempts to limit its losses, Ukraine continues to demonstrate success in reducing the Black Sea Fleet's ability to project power in the region," the British analysts summarized.
