State Department: the victory in the war will be Russia's complete withdrawal from the territory of Ukraine
The United States of America has said that the victory in the war launched by Russia will be the complete withdrawal of the occupation troops of the aggressor country from all the captured settlements in Ukraine. Washington reiterated that the Russian Federation should withdraw from Ukraine.
This was said by Deputy Speaker of the U.S. State Department Vedant Patel at a briefing on Thursday, August 17, Voice of America reports. According to him, this was repeatedly said by President Joe Biden.
"I recall the words of President Biden, who noted that the victory in the war in Ukraine would be for Russia to completely remove itself from Ukraine," the representative of the U.S. Department of State said.
He also said that Ukraine will soon celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the Declaration of Independence from the Soviet Union. This is also Ukraine's second Independence Day since the beginning of Russia's full-scale illegal and unprovoked aggression.
The official added that Washington supports efforts to achieve "a just and lasting peace in Ukraine". At the same time, our country should remain independent, sovereign, democratic and prosperous.
Patel also reiterated that America and its allies will help Ukraine defend against Russian aggression as long as necessary.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the United States officially confirmed the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine from Denmark and the Netherlands. This delivery will be carried out after the completion of the training of Ukrainian pilots.
