Soldiers from the attack drones company destroyed enemy equipment worth $2 million
Soldiers of the Achilles Attack Drone Company of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Koshovyi Ataman Ivan Sirko have successfully used drones with night vision in the Donetsk region. The ability of the UAV operators to see at night resulted in the loss of several pieces of equipment along with enemy manpower.
In total, the nighttime "raids" of Ukrainian soldiers cost Russia about $2 million. The video of the effective work was shown by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (to view it, scroll to the end of the news).
According to the General Staff, soldiers of the Attack Drone Company managed to damage a Russian BTR-80 using drones with night vision. This Russian armored vehicle is armed with 14.5 mm and 7.62 mm machine guns. The crew consists of three people. The BTR-80 can carry up to seven people.
The Russian BMP-2 was much less fortunate: it was destroyed to the ground. This armored vehicle is equipped with a 30mm automatic cannon and a Fagot ATGM. The crew consists of three people, and the troops can carry up to eight occupants.
In addition, a Russian armored recovery vehicle was destroyed.
The total cost of the affected equipment is about $2 million.
On September 15, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 350 occupants and 88 pieces of enemy equipment and weapons at the front. Russia lost about 271,790 of its soldiers during the full-scale aggression against Ukraine as of the morning of September 16.
