Russia fires missiles at Kryvyi Rih

In a massive missile attack on Ukraine on the morning of January 8, Russian invaders hit Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipro region. A shopping center and more than two dozen private homes were damaged.

Four people were injured, one of the victims was hospitalized, and a woman was killed in the Kryvyi Rih district. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Serhii Lysak.

"The enemy attacked civilians again, firing missiles at people. They hit Kryvyi Rih. A shopping center and more than two dozen private houses were damaged. A 58-year-old man received shrapnel wounds. He is in a satisfactory condition," the head of the Regional military administrations said at 09:24.

A video of the destroyed mall was posted on local social media, claiming that it was the largest in Kryvyi Rih. In a nearby hospital, the blast wave shattered windows.

According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, in Kryvyi Rih, the occupiers destroyed a private house, in particular. Three people may be trapped under the rubble.

In addition, the Lozuvatka community of the Kryvyi Rih district was attacked. A private house was destroyed as a result of the attack.

A 62-year-old woman was killed.

As of 12:00, the number of wounded increased: four people were injured in the Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih district. One person was hospitalized in moderate condition.

Later, Lysak posted photos of the aftermath of enemy strikes in the Dnipro region: in addition to Novomoskovsk, Russian missiles hit Kryvyi Rih and the Kryvyi Rih district on the morning of January 8.

As a reminder, on the morning of January 8, Russia launched a new attack on Ukraine, firing cruise missiles from Tu-95MS, as well as ballistic Kinzhal missiles.

First, at around 6 a.m., 11 Russian Tu-95MS bombers were taken to the sky from the Caspian Sea.

In addition, Russian Su-35/Su-34 aircraft were launched from the north. And about seven MiG-31K fighters took off from the Savasleyka airfield in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation, after which the Air Force announced that the occupiers had launched Kinzhal ballistic missiles.

The first explosions occurred in Dnipro, followed by Kryvyi Rih, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv. Civilians were killed and injured.

For example, more than 20 people were injured, including five children aged 4 to 17, in Novomoskovsk in the Dnipro region alone.

In the Kharkiv region, the occupiers hit Kharkiv and Zmiiv. They targeted industrial facilities, but traditionally hit houses. In Kharkiv, there were no casualties, and in Zmiiv, rescuers are looking for people under the rubble. As of 11:00 a.m., one casualty has been reported in the town.
