Shocked by the Russian attack on Okhmatdyt, the occupier handed over official documents and data of commanders to Ukraine: photo published
A Russian pilot from the 22nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Division handed over documents about his unit's activities and private photos of the command staff to Ukrainian intelligence. He did this after a strike on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, as he was shocked by the atrocities of the occupiers.
This was reported by Information Resistance. It is noted that it is the 22nd Heavy Bomber Division (military unit 06987, Engels airfield) that regularly shells Ukrainian cities with X-101 missiles.
The pilot contacted the chatbot of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to the sources, the Russian military was shocked by the attack on the children's hospital and said he did not understand why they were forced to attack civilian targets.
He decided to hand over to the Ukrainian side documents related to the activities of his military unit, as well as private photographs of the command staff of the 22nd Heavy Bombardment Aviation Division. According to the sources, the initial study of the materials received shows that they are of high value.
Among the information provided are documents from the personnel files of senior officers, and personal data of Russian servicemen and their families. Of particular value are the stamped documents of the 22nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Division.
The publication also published private photographs from the celebration of the appointment of Colonel Ilya Koryakin, Chief of Staff of the 52nd Division, to the post of Chief of Staff of the 22nd Division at the restaurant "Naples" in Engels, Saratov region. The photos show more than 30 members of the command staff of the 22nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Division of the Russian Long-Range Aviation Command. A list of their names can be found here.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Russian strike on the country's largest children's hospital, where nearly 630 children were being treated and undergoing serious operations at the time of the attack, caused the destruction of the toxicology department building, as well as serious damage to four more, including the new hospital building, which was opened in 2021.
On Monday, July 8, a nephrologist from Lviv, Svitlana Lukianchuk, died as a result of a Russian strike on Okhmatdyt. She was only 30 years old.
On Wednesday, July 10, a little boy died in a hospital in Kyiv. At the time of the missile strike, he was in critical condition in the intensive care unit of Okhmatdyt.
The Security Service of Ukraine showed the fragments of the hull and serial numbers of the Russian X-101 missile found at the site of the attack. The fact that Russia was responsible for the deliberate attack on Okhmatdyt was confirmed by numerous OSINT investigators and missile experts, and Bellingcat also published its evidence. Even the United Nations made a statement that it was "highly likely" that Okhmatdyt was hit by a direct hit from a Russian missile. The Molfar community identified 95 Russian soldiers involved in the shelling of Okhmatdyt.
However, Russia continues to cynically lie that the destruction of the hospital was caused by "anti-missiles " from Ukrainian air defense. Such statements were made, in particular, by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov, and the same lies and accusations against Ukraine were repeated by Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on July 9.
