This was reported by local Telegram channels. The occupiers claim that the explosions are heard because of air defence systems.

Local residents say that a powerful explosion was heard in the centre of Sevastopol, near Gogol Street.

At the same time, the Russian media reported that the explosions were caused by "air defence training".

"Loud noises in the city centre are preventive work within the framework of the Anti-Submarine and Sabotage Support and training of our air defence systems," the source said.

It is noteworthy that the Russian Emergencies Ministry asks Sevastopol residents "not to succumb to provocations to evacuate the city".

The ministry said that residents are receiving calls to leave the city as part of the evacuation procedure.

"Unknown persons are introducing themselves as employees of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and demanding information about the situation in the city. The goal is to sow panic," the Russians wrote.
