SES pyrotechnics clear the area of mines

Employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine continue to demine the de-occupied territories. Pyrotechnics use special Swiss equipment GSC-200.

This was reported by the SES press service. Four such complexes are already operating in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine.

After completing training on the use of Swiss GSC-200 mechanised demining machines manufactured by Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS), SES pyrotechnics began using these universal complexes in the liberated territories to clear mines and remove the remaining mines and unexploded ordnance.

These demining platforms have already been successfully used in more than 40 countries around the world.

This demining complex consists of a tracked tractor and special attachments, and is controlled by just one operator using a control panel.

The GCS-200 is capable of defusing mines at a depth of up to 28 cm, and the width of the demining strip when the working body is in operation is up to 2.2 metres. The GCS-200 can be operated remotely from a distance of up to 1 kilometre.

As OBOZREVATEL wrote:

- Recently, Lithuania announced the creation of a coalition of demining to help Ukraine. They invited other countries to join and help our country.

- More than eight months after the de-occupation, another minefield created by Russian troops was found in Mykolaiv region.
