The day before the Ukrainian defense forces repulsed the attacks of the Russian occupants near Orikhovo-Vasilivka in Bakhmut region. In total, the defenders fought the enemy in 24 clashes in the Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Mariinka directions.

Tonight, Russian forces launched another Shahed-type missile and UAV strike against Ukraine. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified, and the threat of further enemy air strikes remains high throughout the country.

In the past 24 hours alone, the occupiers carried out 59 air strikes and more than 100 rocket launcher attacks on our troops' positions and settlements. There were casualties among the civilian population, including children, critical infrastructure was damaged, and more than 20 residential buildings and a school were destroyed or damaged.

The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the Russian Armed Forces attacked Ohirtseve, Budarky and Vesele in Kharkiv region from the air during the day. At the same time, they launched an air strike on Kyslivka, carried out artillery and mortar attacks on the towns of Krasne Pervoe, Figolivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region.

In the Liman sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of Spirne. He conducted air strikes on the settlements of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Ozerne in Donetsk region. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Torske, Verkhnekamianske, Rozdolivka, Spirne in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut sector, the occupants conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of Orikhovo-Vasylivka. In the Mariinka sector, our defenders repelled all the occupants' attacks near Mariinka. The enemy also launched an air strike there and shelled Krasnohorivka, Horoshne, Heorhiivka, Pobeda, Maksymilianivka and Illinka in Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the Russian Armed Forces conducted offensive actions in the directions of Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk region, but were unsuccessful. They carried out air strikes in the areas of Blahodatne, Vuhledar and Zolota Niva. They shelled Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Blahodatne, Ugledar, Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Shakhtarske, and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the invaders continue to conduct defensive actions. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Makarivka in Donetsk region, Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region and Kozatske in Kherson region. It fired artillery at the towns of Vremivka, Makarivka in Donetsk region; Zelene Pole, Novodarivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Zatyshya, Gulyaypole, Gulyaypilske, Orikhiv, Lobkove, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia; Mykhaylivka, Novodmytrivka, Havrylivka, Kachkarivka, Beryslav, Tomaryne, Vesele, Kozatske, Burgunka, Virivka, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Kherson, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Sofiyivka, Myroliubivka - Kherson; Ochakiv - Mykolaiv.

Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces' aviation conducted 10 strikes against areas where personnel were concentrated and hit one anti-aircraft missile system of the Russian Armed Forces. The defenders also destroyed a Russian Ka-52 helicopter, three Shahed type attack drones and seven reconnaissance UAVs.

Rocket and artillery units struck two command posts, four SAM systems, two areas where personnel and military equipment were concentrated, and two ammunition depots of the occupants.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, on June 18, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued counteroffensive actions in at least four areas of the front and achieved limited territorial successes.
