On the night of Thursday, May 25, the Russian occupation army again attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones. Air defense forces worked on enemy targets in a number of areas - 36 Shaheds were shot down as they approached Kyiv, over Bukovyna, Mykolaiv Region, and Odessa Region.

The Kyiv city military administration reported that the air defense forces worked on the approaches to Kyiv. People were urged to stay in shelters.

"There is a danger of enemy UAVs in the Kyiv region. The air defense forces are already operating," the same was stated by the Kyiv regional military administration.

After some time, the air defense forces in Kyiv region were working again. At the same time, the network also wrote about the work of air defense in the Mykolaiv, Lviv, and Khmelnytsky regions.

At about 03:00 a.m., there was an airborne alert in the Kyiv region and a number of other regions, except in the west. In the morning, the head of the Kyiv city military administration, Sergiy Popko, noted that the capital had experienced its 12th Russian air attack since the beginning of the month during the night. It was massive, carried out in several waves, but the aggressor country failed to reach its targets.

"During the alert, which lasted more than three hours, the enemy, according to preliminary data, used Shahed barraging munitions... The Kremlin army is trying to achieve its objectives, including depleting our air defenses. Fuff! Ukrainian angels of the sky did not give the aggressor a chance," he wrote.

According to him, all detected air targets moving in the direction of Kyiv were destroyed by the forces and means of our air defense. No strikes on the capital were allowed.

The head of the Chernivtsi regional military administration Ruslan Zaparanyuk also said about the destruction of the enemy drone in the sky of the region.

" A UAV was shot down by air defense forces over the territory of the region. The relevant services are working. Details later," he noted.

According to the operational command "South", during the night air attack air defense forces shot down three kamikaze drones Shahed-136/131 over the Mykolaiv region and another one over the Odessa region.

"There were no hits in the area of responsibility of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine. A total of 357 Shahed-136/131 have been destroyed by the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine since the beginning of the use of Iranian drones by Russian troops," the report said.

The command of the Air Force noted that during this attack, the air defense of the various components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 36 of the 36 Shaheds launched by the occupants. The enemy drones were launched from the northern and southern directions. It is possible that the Russian Federation tried to attack critical infrastructure and military facilities in the western regions of the country.
