In the evening of 10 August, two explosions occurred in Zaporizhzhia. Russian terrorists once again struck a civilian infrastructure facility, which is usually crowded at this time. The attack killed one person and injured nine others.

The arrival in the city was confirmed by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Yuriy Malashko. According to monitoring channels, the strikes are allegedly being coordinated by a Russian reconnaissance UAV hovering over the regional centre. The city is on air alert (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).

"Once again, a civilian infrastructure facility has been chosen as the target of a Russian terrorist attack. Again, no military targets. The area is very crowded at this time. I am going to the site. I hope there are no casualties," Malashko wrote.

The secretary of Zaporizhzhia City Council, Anatoliy Kurtev, said that a fire broke out at the arrival site. Unfortunately, there are victims. The relevant services are already working at the scene of the Russian terrorist attack.

He added that two people are currently known to have been injured - they were taken to a medical facility in a light condition.

Malashko also stressed that all services are working on the spot to minimise the damage the aggressor state is trying to cause.

"The most important thing is the lives of our people. After the medics have finished providing assistance to all the victims, the information will be made public," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.

He released the first photos from the scene, which show significant damage to the building and completely burnt cars.

As of 20:10, Kurtev said that one person was unfortunately killed in the attack, and five others were injured.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has already responded to another Russian terrorist attack in Zaporizhzhia in his Telegram. He expressed his condolences to the victim's family and showed footage from the scene of the tragedy.

"Every soldier who destroys the occupiers, who goes forward and leads the way, who liberates our land, brings justice to Ukraine. It brings retribution closer. Ukraine will stand. Russian terror will inevitably lose," Zelenskyy stressed.

As of 20:23, the number of casualties in Zaporizhzhia has increased to 9 people, Kurtev said. Minor damage to medical and educational institutions has also been reported. There are also two damaged high-rise buildings.

Just the night before, Russian terrorists attacked a residential area in Zaporizhzhia. The attack killed two people and injured seven others. Preliminarily, the occupiers may have used an Iskander missile, but this information is still being clarified.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration reported that a church and retail outlets in the Shevchenkivskyi district were destroyed. The blast wave shattered glass in high-rise buildings.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, musicians Svitlana Semyokina and Kristina Spitsyna were killed in a missile strike in Zaporizhzhia on 9 August. The girls formed the duo "Similar girls" and became members of the "cover band "Gems". The Ukrainians killed by Russia were only 19 and 21 years old. An hour before their deaths, they were singing on the streets of the city, raising money to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A video of the girls' last performance was posted online.
