Russian occupation troops in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors focused their efforts on deterring the Ukrainian counter-offensive. In total, about 22 combat engagements took place on the frontline during the day - in the Lyman, Bakhmut and Maryinka directions.

This was reported in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook on 29 June. At the same time, the Defence Forces continue to inflict irreparable losses on the enemy.

In particular, Ukrainian aviation struck enemy concentration areas 11 times over the day, and missile and artillery units hit 2 command posts, a radar station and an artillery unit at a firing position.

Russian shelling and the situation at the front

On 29 June, the enemy fired 6 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles at civilian infrastructure in the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region. In addition, the Russians launched 23 air strikes and fired about 46 MLRS at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

In the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 10 localities, including Karpovychi and Tymonovychi in Chernihiv region and Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske and Yunakivka in Sumy region.

In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy launched an air strike near Kyslivka. Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Razdolivka and Bilohorivka. It carried out air strikes near Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, as well as Lyman and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region. More than 5 localities came under artillery fire, including Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhnekamiane and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Bakhmut. He carried out air strikes near Bila Hora and Diliyivka in the Donetsk region. About 10 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasyukivka, Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, with the support of aviation, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Avdiivka. He fired artillery at more than 5 localities, including Stepove, Avdiivka and Vodiane in the Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka sector, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinity of Maryinka, as well as Peremoha and Novomykhailivka. At the same time, the enemy carried out air strikes near Krasnohorivka and Nevelske, and shelled more than 10 localities with artillery. In particular, Nevelske, Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Peremoha in Donetsk region came under fire.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Novomykhailivka. It carried out air strikes in the areas of Vuhledar, Zolota Niva, Makarivka and Rivne in the Donetsk region. It shelled about 10 localities, including Prechystivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Niva and Blahodatne in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. It conducted air strikes in the areas of Molodizhne and Antonivka in Kherson region. It shelled more than 25 settlements, including Poltavka, Gulyaypole, Gulyaypilske, Pyatikhatky, Lobkove, Zaporizhzhia in Zaporizhzhia region; Antonivka, Kherson, Dniprovske, Veletinske in Kherson region and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.
