Russian propaganda makes a fool of itself once again as military correspondent tries to pass a video of AFU strikes in Kursk region off as Russian
Russian propaganda continues to embarrass itself by presenting videos of Ukrainian soldiers in combat as those of the occupiers. This time, a so-called "military commander" Alexander Kots made a fool of himself.
He published a video of drone operators of the 56th Motorized Brigade eliminating Russian targets. ASTRA reports about it.
The journalists noted that the video with the spectacular work of the drone operators was posted by "military commander" Alexander Kots on his Telegram channel on January 10 at 17:21 Moscow time. He said that the video shows strikes on the Ukrainian forces in Russian Kursk region, allegedly carried out by drone operators from the 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
"The marines from the 810th Brigade are skillfully burying the enemy into black soil in the Kursk direction," the propagandist captioned the footage.
However, it turned out that Kots simply stole and edited the video filmed by Ukrainian soldiers.
The video posted by Kots:
The original video:
Department of Strategic Communications of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published this video, but complete and featuring AFU symbols, on its Telegram channel a few hours earlier. The post that reads "New year - new drops. Drone pilots of the 56th Brigade destroy the occupiers both individually and in packs" was published along with a video at 12:03 Kyiv time.
The original video was posted on the Telegram channel of the 56th Motorized Brigade on January 9. The soldiers stated, "New year - new drops. We continue to fight the enemy 24/7!"
They did not specify where the footage was shot, but ASTRA suggested that it was Donetsk region, where the 56th Brigade "usually appears."
After being exposed, Kots deleted the "victorious" post.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian propagandist Olga Skabeyeva embarrassed herself in a similar way: she praised a Ukrainian soldier for destroying the enemy on live TV.
Skabeyeva presented a video showing how AFU detroys the Russian occupiers, which was filmed near the village of Urozhaine back in 2023, and stated that the footage allegedly showed Russian marines storming the positions of Ukrainian soldiers in Zaporizhzhia. At the same time, the propagandist praised their professionalism.
