Russian offensive stalled, frontline leveled: AFU officer on the situation around Avdiivka. Video

Ukrainian Armed Forces officer tells about the situation around Avdiivka

The Russian occupation army's offensive in the Avdiivka sector stalled after the enemy captured Avdiivka and several villages beyond in February. Today, the frontline there has been leveled.

This was stated by Serhii Tsehotskyi, an officer of the 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, during the TV marathon. He agreed with the conclusions of The New York Times analysts who stated that the advance of Russian troops is losing momentum.

According to him, the fact that the Russian offensive has stalled was influenced by the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces units defending this section of the frontline received ammunition.

"The advantage of Russians is to attack when no one expects it. When they meet an enemy on the battlefield who can fight back, something else starts to boil inside their minds," the military said.

He says that both the interrogation of Russian soldiers who are captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the interception of occupants' conversations indicate an extremely low moral and psychological state in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces in the Avdiivka sector.

"This is very encouraging. It gives us confidence that we are doing our job right and will continue to do so," the officer added.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the deputy commander of the 3rd Mechanized Brigade Maksym Zhorin said that the occupiers cannot break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense outside Avdiivka. They are "wiped out" by Orlivka defenders, suffering huge losses.
