"Russian losses near Avdiivka are enormous": German analyst calls Russian army attack a "meat assault". Photo
The aggressor country, Russia, continues to throw cannon fodder at Avdiivka in Donetsk region. The enemy is not sparing its soldiers in its attempts to capture the city and sends them on "meat assaults."
This was written by Julian Röpke, a journalist and military analyst at BILD, on his page on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter. He commented on the footage captured by a Ukrainian drone near Avdiivka: it shows the bodies of more than 30 killed Russian soldiers lying by the road.
"A pile of bodies on the side of the road. Russian losses near Avdiivka are enormous. The images are similar to those of the battle of Bakhmut. Russia captured Bakhmut after 11 months of heavy fighting, losing 20,000 people," said Roepke.
Despite the enormous losses, Russia has not stopped or given up its attempts to surround Avdiivka.
According to the analyst, since the beginning of October, 2000-3000 Russian soldiers may have been killed in the battles for the city. The enemy is also losing its weapons. Röpke published a photo showing at least 14 units of destroyed Russian armored vehicles in a small area.
As reported by OBOZ.UA:
- Russian troops continue their offensive in the Avdiivka sector. They managed to achieve some success only to the north of Avdiivka, but they suffer serious losses.
- The Russian occupation forces are using new provocative tactics during the air shelling of Avdiivka to accuse the Ukrainian Defense Forces of the attacks on the city. They are launching missiles in such a way as to create the illusion that they were launched from a city controlled by the Ukrainian army.
