Russian losses in the war exceeded the forces that were thrown during the invasion of Ukraine - British Ministry of Defense

The British Ministry of Defense has stated that over the two years of full-scale aggression against Ukraine, Russia has lost more than the initial forces with which it began the invasion. Thus, the invaders lost twice as many tanks as they sent to Ukraine in February 2022, as well as all infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers.

The losses in manpower exceed the initial contingent by 3.5 times. This is stated in the message of the British Ministry of Defense in the X network.

"Over the two years of the conflict, Russia's losses are equal to, and in many cases exceed, those that constituted its initial strength," the British Defense Ministry noted.

Thus, according to the British Ministry of Defense, at the time of the full-scale aggression, Russia deployed about 130 battalion tactical groups to invade Ukraine.

They consisted of about 1,300 tanks, more than 5,000 infantry and armored personnel carriers, and at least 100,000 soldiers.

"Confirmed Russian losses amount to over 2,700 tanks and about 5,000 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers. The number of killed and wounded Russian troops is likely to be 350,000," the British summed up the results of Putin's "Special military operation," which, according to the Russian leadership, is going "according to plan."

Earlier, the network showed an epic video that captured how the soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade defeated the occupiers during an attempt to storm Berdychi.

It was also reported that British intelligence stated that the average daily losses of the Russian Federation in Ukraine reached a record since the beginning of the war. In the last month of winter, the occupation army lost about a thousand invaders.

The British defense ministry believes that such high losses indicate that the Kremlin is ready to throw its soldiers into a "meat grinder" to achieve at least some results on the battlefield.
