Russian losses in Kursk region have reached almost 18 thousand: General Staff shows a video of successful operations

General Staff discloses data on enemy losses in Kursk region

Ukraine continues the Kursk operation in Russia, destroying enemy manpower, equipment and weapons. Since its beginning, the Russian army has already lost almost 18,000 of its soldiers, 7,000 of which were killed.

Almost a thousand units of enemy military equipment and weapons have also been destroyed. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about Russia's losses in the Kursk region.

"Kursk operation. Russian losses as of October 25, 2024," they said, publishing a video with details and Defense Forces' operations.

Thus, between August 6 and October 25, Russia lost 17,819 people, of which 6,662 were killed, 10,446 wounded, and 711 captured.

The invaders also lost 970 units of military equipment and weapons.

In particular, the Defense Forces destroyed 45 Russian tanks, 256 armored combat vehicles, 565 vehicles, 99 artillery systems, and five multiple launch rocket systems.

Earlier, the losses of Russian troops during the Kursk operation were announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi. He also called the statements of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about the alleged encirclement of about 2,000 Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region by Russian forces "outright disinformation".

As a reminder, over the past day, the losses of Russian invaders amounted to 1,690 people. Ukrainian soldiers also destoryed 12 tanks, 45 armored combat vehicles, 29 artillery systems, two MLRS, two air defense systems, 56 operational and tactical UAVs, 95 vehicles, and six units of special equipment.
