On the night of July 22, the terrorist state Russia attacked the territory of Ukraine with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones once again. The UAVs were launched on the central regions of our country.

This was reported on air of the national TV marathon by the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South Natalia Humenyuk. She noted that the enemy has intensified the use of attack drones significantly, although this night can be called relatively calm compared to the previous ones (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).

According to Humenyuk, this indicates the enemy taking a certain pause to gather information, but filling it with drones.

Thus, according to the speaker of the Defense Forces of the South, the defenders of the Ukrainian sky worked on 3 targets launched through Mykolaiv on the central regions. In particular, the fighters destroyed enemy targets over Mykolaiv and Kropyvnytskyi. Another 2 enemy drones were shot down over Dnipropetrovsk region.

Humenyuk explained that this small wave of drones was aimed at reconnaissance of the air defense forces' response. In addition, 2 enemy reconnaissance drones were also shot down at night in the south. In this way the Russians are trying to gather information, the speaker of the Defense Forces of the South is convinced. In particular, it is aimed at port infrastructure, because the activity of Russian drones is observed from the waters of the Black Sea towards the coast.

For his part, the head of the Kropyvnytskyi RMA, Andriy Raikovych, said that Russia attacked the region with drones at night. Air defence was working.

"Preliminary there is no deaths and injuries or destruction of civilian buildings," the official said.
