Russia prepares new attacks on Ukraine's energy sector, satellite reconnaissance is underway - Main Directorate of Intelligence
The Russian terrorist army has begun preparations for the next shelling of critical infrastructure in Ukraine. Now the enemy is actively engaged in reconnaissance.
The invaders are trying to establish the most vulnerable energy facilities. Vadym Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, told about it in an interview with the We are Ukraine TV channel.
According to a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the Russian occupants have started reconnaissance of Ukrainian energy facilities. The terrorists are actively using satellite images and other types of reconnaissance for this purpose.
Skibitsky also explained that the Russians are trying to find out which facilities have the greatest impact on Ukraine's energy system.
"We are monitoring all issues that relate to the Russian Federation's reconnaissance of our energy facilities. I will tell you that they have started such work. They are now carrying out additional reconnaissance, using including space reconnaissance, other types of reconnaissance in order to establish what is the state of our energy sector and identify critical targets and critical facilities that will affect our energy system as a whole," - said the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
Earlier it was reported that despite the stable situation with energy supply, Ukrainians are advised to prepare now charging stations and generators, to purchase fuel for them , etc. The reasons are a possible new wave of shelling of the energy infrastructure by Russia, which may lead to blackouts, as well as the approach of winter and, accordingly, the growth of electricity consumption.
Recall, the Russian invaders are planning to organize an armed provocation at the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP, during which heavy weapons may be used. Now the occupants are preparing simulated shelling of the strategic facility, which will try to pass off as an attempt to "storm" Zaporizhzhya NPP by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
